The Reign of the boy bands.

The time period known as my middle school years, the late 90’s & early 2000’s or most recongizably the reign of the boy bands was a beautiful and a frosted tipped era.

These precious times make up the largest part of my memories labeled
“what were you thinking!?”

It isn’t surprising that when you put fashion in the hands of a bunch of ex-mickey mouse clubbers, it gets weird.

I decided it would be prudent to compile a list of the most grievous offences in an attempt to fend off the possibility of us ever making these mistakes again.
Here’s hoping.

Cisco could not have known this would happen. Still though…

he should be ashamed of himself.

Back when the Zig Zag part was the wildest thing Britney and Christina had ever done….

Streaks. The stripier the better.

and the last and possibly the worst: Thicky Flip-flops…

How do you even walk in these?

These are hilarious and I’ve unfortunately committed all these fashion crimes. You should of also added using pomade to get that piecey look. I always ended up just looking like a grease ball.

My sister is a hairstylist and still does the highlights all the time on her clients and herself. I think it looks beautiful. That picture though on the other hand is a little too much for my taste, but it seems to me all these girls have the same boring hair, one color! We all have our own preference on what we like. I personally hate the ombe look, but its what we all like that makes us different.

Just found your site via a pin from a friend.

    You are hilarious.

The zig-zig part was huge when I was in college. This dates me, right? Love your site…

I was absolutely a flip flop platform offender, but in my defense I’m only 5ft tall and I was a 17/18 yr old : )

All of these things still happen in Utah. Or how about the shoes that looked like loafers with the SUPER chunky soles. I still see those here. And the other incarnation of the stripes around here is black underneath and blond on top. Barf. All of it.

I call those stripes ‘Utah hair,’ especially if you add a bumpit.

Can I simply just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what
they are talking about on the internet. You definitely understand how to bring a
problem to light and make it important. A lot more people have to check this out and
understand this side of your story. I was surprised that you aren’t more popular since you most certainly possess the gift.
